A rugged, fascinating, remote trek from the archaeological complex of Choquequirao to Machu Picchu.
In the shadow of high mountain passes to the moist edge of tropical vegetation you will take a break from your cellphone and your computer. Enjoy the walk, the talk, the food, the thin air, the mountains and the people.
Six thousand meter peaks soar along the alpine portion of the hike. The high altitude trail dips into thick jungle and you'll hike through by small villages, sheltered from tourists. The trek culminates in a visit to the impressive ruins of Machu Picchu.

The highlight of the Cusco area is the visit to Machu Picchu by train from Ollantaytambo. Then your journey continues to the north of Peru, Huaraz and the Cordillera Blanca, the Alpamayo hike reach remote areas and stunning glaciers, this route circles Santa Cruz, Caraz, Alpamayo, Pucahircas, Huandoy, Chacraraju, Taulliraju, Chopicalqui and Huascaran, while crossing passes between 4500m and 4800m.
