Terra Australis Incognita, "The Unknown Southern Island", is a wilderness of profound beauty and isolation - no roads, pollution or native inhabitants. Aboard our ship, the A1A ice-rated Polar Pioneer, we will visit the astounding protected bays and fjords of the Peninsula Region where we'll view five-mile icebergs, penguins, thousands of whales and castles of ice. One cannot travel to Antarctica without entering a world of heroic exploration.

Fin, killer and humpback whales are common, late night sunsets paint the ice, and the weather is warmer. This is the perfect way and the perfect time to experience Antarctica.
